Disaster Relief and Recovery Efforts

September 14, 2018, Hurricane Florence made landfall at Wrightsville Beach, NC. While the windspeeds were at a Category 1 level, the storm surge had built up as a Cat 4, bringing 9-13 feet of surge and 15-20" of rain which added flooding from drainage ditches and standing water to homes that did not flood from the storm surge. It's been 5 years since Hurricane Florence made landfall, and more than 400 people in Craven County are still living in damaged homes. Flood and roof damages continue to get worse. Hurricane funds have nearly completely depleted, and most agencies have left the community to respond to more recent storms. Our community is desperate for support. CCDRA needs your help to provide that support.
