June marks National Homeownership Month, highlighting the importance of stable housing for all. Additionally, World Refugee Day on June 20th provides an opportunity to stand in solidarity with displaced communities worldwide. Juneteenth is a federally recognized holiday celebrated on June 19th, marking the end of slavery in the United States. June is also Pride Month, a time to celebrate and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion. Whatever cause you're passionate about, June offers ample opportunities to raise awareness and drive positive change.

Upcoming Events in The Triangle

Fundamentals: 3 Day Webinar Series for QuickBooks Desktop: This is a virtual 3-day webinar series (2.5 hours per day, available June 11-13) teaching seven and a half hours of vital QuickBooks information specifically for non-profit organizations. The cost is $149 Per Day or $299 for all three days.

Corks for Kids Path: This wine-tasting event hosted by AuthoraCare will take place on June 14 at 7 pm. This event is sold out, but you can still donate and participate in the raffle and silent auction. There are also remaining opportunities to participate in this event as a sponsor.

Out! Raleigh Pride 2024: Raleigh Pride will take place on Fayetteville Street on June 22 from 11am - 7pm. The blue link will take you to the volunteer sign up. To check out the event details, click here.

Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment: The North Carolina Community Foundation is seeking proposals from June 28 until NOON on July 30 from nonprofit organizations with programs, projects and general operations that serve eastern NC and focus on one of the following areas: education, health, and human services. Grants typically will range from $25,000 to $50,000.

Marketing Director's Commitment to Impact

Kendall Terashima, our Marketing Director, is also on a journey of growth and development. Kendall is enrolled in a Social Impact Strategies course through The University of Pennsylvania, deepening her understanding of how marketing can be a force for positive change. With her passion and expertise, we're confident that Kendall will continue to elevate our efforts to drive meaningful impact.
